And yet again, this was another set of chapters just full of good stuff! I wish I had time today to say more, but I think I'm going to narrow it down to one verse:
Alma 33:23
And now, my brethren, I desire that ye shall plant this word in you hearts, and as it beginneth to swell even so nourish it by your faith. And behold, it will become a tree springing up in you unto everlasting life. And then may God grant unto you that your burdens may be light, through the joy of his Son. And even all this can ye do if ye will. Amen."
Nearly every single page of this section of scripture mentions or discusses the different states of men's hearts. Have you been noticing this along the way? My favorite verse is in 34:36 when is says "...but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell..."
The metaphor of the word being a seed is so beautiful in these chapters, and I know that it is true--when our hearts are in the right place, the Lord is with us, "and even all this can ye do if ye will."

These really are some great chapters.
Something that stood out to me this time was Korihor's arguments in chapter 30 verses 48-53. He pretty much summed up the worldly view of our Church and beliefs. It made me realize that these same arguments have been around since the beginning and that they truly are inspired by Satan and his desire to confuse and lead us astray. It may sound strange, but I found it comforting. People today aren't any wiser than those of ancient times. The eternal truths of the gospel stand unchanged.
